That's about 50 feet from where the camera is located to where the night vision runs out. The night vision is awesome though and I am able to see the entire front of my house from the camera's placement on the corner in nearly complete darkness (there are no nearby streetlights). Video quality of the camera is pretty decent, but as I stated before it's not the greatest at showing detail at anything past 10-15ft. I have not tried Firefox, Safari, or any other browsers so I cannot say which ones it will and will not work for. They require an additional download to view the camera's stream and it doesn't seem to work for Chrome, at least. I only tried using the camera through Google Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers. I just can't get it to work, I will be contacting their customer service but I haven't done so yet at the time of this review.

It keeps giving an error message about not being able to connect to the server even though I have installed and started the server as well.

I have read the instructions included in PDF files on the installation CD, and tried following them step by step, but when it comes down to it, I cannot add the camera because the option remains greyed out. I searched all the dropdown menus and looked at everything I could. I'm not sure if I'm just simply overlooking an important step in setting it up or if the interface of the program is not nearly as intuitive as it should be for setting up a connection to your camera(s).

TRENDnetView Pro software doesn't seem very intuitive for establishing a connection to your camera(s). The free mobile app doesn't allow you to record video You must buy the 'full' version to do that. It wasn't bad enough to have any negative effects, though.

My installation CD was already scratched when I removed it from the sleeve. Video resolution isn't all that great to make out much detail past 10-15ft. The camera is really intended to be used with a PoE connection, but it would be nice if it included everything even for those who do not have PoE capable devices.
